Hi guys, in general, after the return of the 19 wheel, the motorcycle again became much more comfortable and obedient. Here's what I think, due to the fact that my rear shock absorber is slightly overstated and the steering wheel is also lowered, the angle of inclination of the motorcycle and, accordingly, me, taking into account the understated steering wheel, is very sharp. I am upset, I liked 17 wheels with spokes so much + this is an additional waste of money, now I will look for a buyer for 17 wheels)))

Hi! I put 19 back, I will test)

We at Classicbike Raisch have also already dealt with Bitubo. Unfortunately, Bitubo always delivers their cartrigde systems with the same standard spring. This, of course, rarely fits the individual rider's weight. From our point of view, this is not possible at all, and probably leads to the fact that it never fits properly. For this reason, we only use Öhlins, where we have 6 different spring rates for the respective rider weight.
Greetings
Rainer
Thank you for the comment, as I understand it, given the situation I described, you are inclined to believe that my biturbo springs are very soft initially and because of this, there is a slack in the static and in the free wheel with a maximum compression of 2 cm? To be honest, I bought biturbo because I wanted to save money(((

Hey guys! I have bitubo cartridges installed, taxiing has become very sharp, when braking the motorcycle is very nosy, I made a full preload of the front fork springs yesterday, it became more stable, but everything feels exactly not comfortable. Moreover, according to the manual, the sagging of the front fork in static and with the wheel hanging down should be 35 mm, I have 2.5 cm when the springs are fully tightened. I want to know your opinion, who has what kind of front fork and who did what?

Hello everyone. After replacing the wheels, the suspension behaves extremely unpredictably, especially the front of the motorcycle. I feel yawing at low speed and sometimes the rear wheel slips, the motorcycle is controlled very sharply, as if I removed the steering damper. On the weekend I will try to adjust, if I hadn't changed the front fork to an adjustable one earlier, it would be extremely uncomfortable to drive when replacing the wheels
-
how do you like it?

Guys, yesterday we put 46 holes on the disc, drove 30 km at all speeds, the flight is normal. I hope so. Thank you all for your comments. Now it remains to figure out how to lower the wing)

-
Why would you?? - shouldn't you try the 46 ring first??
And only if to see if the material works and gives any signal (I would assume yes, but maybe it only works in steel!)
I will order 3 variants 44-45-46 and start with 46, I have a friend with a laser machine and making these rings is not a problem.)))
-
I plan to replace the ring next weekend, I will definitely write what the result will be.
-
53 holes / 21" = ~2,52
48 holes / 19" = ~2,52
43 holes / 17" ? ~2,52
I would have chosen 43, not 45 or 46.
I'll try to order another ring 44

теперь я запутался!?! Я думал, ты хочешь поменять переднее колесо с 19 на 17!?!
You are absolutely right, I want to replace 19 with 17. I have given data on 21 wheels for analogy.
-
I have read about many positive scrambler conversions with a change of 19 to 21 wheels. When installing an ABS ring with 53 holes instead of 48, it gives a positive result. There is even a modification of wunderlich https://www.wunderlich.de/shop/en/bmw-r-…-44121-000.html. So if 19/21 works with increasing holes, I hope that 19/17 will work with decreasing holes.
-
This is not a good idea… basically you suddenly have a pulse which is double in duration than the last ones. That could make the ABS trigger during normal braking.
Yes, I completely agree with you, I myself am confused by all these manipulations and I already regret that I bought 17 wheels))))
-
According to my calculations, 45-46 holes are needed in the ABS disk. I ordered 2 options and I will try.
-
Probably I am - as often - too naiv...., sorry for that! So if there are any problems just forget about that!
There might be an easy fix!!
Assuming you would need to go from 48 holes (more exactly it is slots with 'bridges' in between!) down to 44.
I don't know if the electronic is clever and is registering the ferquency or distance between the different holes.
If you would simply take out - on an existing ABS ring with 48 slots - 4 of the bridges, you will end up with only 44 slots - 4 of them having more than the double size and with this not beeing of identical distance, but nevertheless, 44 holes, it might work!
Unfortunately, the sending turned out to be more difficult than I thought, if everything works out with the abs ring, we will definitely find a way to transfer it )))
But I will definitely report the results with the replacement of the ABS ring.
Thanks for the comments.

Can't you simply send a letter or a parcel or is this meanwhile forbidden??!!
Compared to the wide tolerance range from 17" to 19", the tire dimensions should be neglectable as the width / height ratio is anyhow the same! 120/70-19" and 120/70-17" - Yet you are right the relation changes a little bit:
Wheel diameter 19" with tire: 19 x 25,3mm + 2 x 120mmX0,7 = 650
wheel diameter 17" with tire: 17 x 25,4mm + 2 x 120mm x 0,7 = 600
Calculated number of holes for 17": 48 / 650 x 600 = 44,3 = 44
So Franko is right, it makes one hole difference, that why I wanted to know the number of holes at Tills 21" version, but the one hole should not be a road block!
I will try to find out how to send it and I will definitely unsubscribe

I plan to make it out of stainless steel, I would love to make a disk for you, but I'm afraid there will be difficulties with delivery, since I live in Russia.
